This magnet recreates the black and white Puerto Rican flag with the profile of Nationalist leader Pedro Albizu Campos. Born the grandson of an enslaved woman in Ponce, Puerto Rico, rising to speak seven languages and graduate from Harvard Law, Albizu is known for his fierce battle against US imperialism in Puerto Rico. He died on April 21, 1965 from cancer resulting from radiation torture while a political prisoner of the US.

Yasmin Hernandez is a Brooklyn-born and raised artist whose work is centered on liberation themes. She rematriated to her ancestral homeland of Borikén in 2014, where she is still based.
