SOUL REBELS
Soul Rebels was created as a site-specific installation of 8 mixed media panels on the Heckscher Theater doors of el Museo de Barrio. The series honors revolutionary poets and musicians. They included a combination of genres and generations with Julia de Burgos, Piri Thomas, Eddie Palmieri, Pedro Pietri, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Public Enemy and Ricanstruction. Soul Rebels at El Museo del Barrio

The Soul Rebels installation was up in the lobby of the Heckscher Building before el Museo del barrio underwent its capital project to transform the lobby area and entrance to the museum. The installation was on view from September 2005 through the end of 2006.
