Yemaya has been my most popular print, only now it is available as a large-format archival print. The original painting (2000) is my tribute to the Yoruba orisha of motherhood and the sea.

Yasmin Hernandez is a Brooklyn-born and raised artist whose work is centered on liberation themes. She rematriated to her ancestral homeland of Borikén in 2014, where she is still based.
